

Ancient humans constructed more complex tools, which allowed greater ability to survive and spread into more challenging environments.
Is this proclivity a part of the human brain? Is there something essential about making that humans need to experience? If you don't physically make your own art work, is the result less good than if you did make it yourself?
Or is the ability to conceptualize your art piece the essence of creative work, with the technical aspects being skillful but generally uncreative?
